You should be aware of the different types of ceilings and the difference they can make to an office or restaurant, for instance. A restaurant could benefit from using a MF system (Plasterboard and finished). As there can be many contours creating different shapes at different levels. That can be easy on the eye to the customer giving them something to look at and remember the restaurant by.

You need to give some thought on what you have above your ceiling already and what you are intending to put in the ceiling with regards to lighting and air conditioning. You should also be aware that some ceilings need to be fire rated. You may even need to make the ceiling acoustically sound. This will be explained in full by one of our surveyors.
The pictures below shows how the customer was able to hide the not so nice looking pipes with a ceiling and have access if needed.
